DT: “This painting appeared on the cover of Human Greed's first album
'Consolation'… It's somewhat mysterious content alludes to Victoria Park in
Newhaven, Edinburgh… I'm deeply connected to Newhaven, Trinity and north
Edinburgh… It is a very special part of the city… Big life events… frightening
scenarios and many, many tears… My kind of 'spiritual centre' and it informs
much of my imagination… Based on actual events… (See DeBosch)… Can I be any more
obscure?
Consolation is a 'female' painting… the yellow ribbon… the birthday
cake… more pictures about cats babysitting chicks… The moon looks pleased and
that litterbin in the background is significant… If Louis Wain was ever wrestled
to the ground by Leith Police whilst howling at the moon…his mind an inferno of
sex and death… well this is it…What more can I possibly say?”
